Have Us Bid For You
Can’t be in Pfeifer on Saturday, September 12? For the live auction lots, a member of the Holy Cross Charities board will bid for you, in the room, up to a maximum you set.
Everything in the 150th Anniversary Auction is decided in person in Pfeifer, at the Sesquicentennial celebration on Saturday, September 12 — an auctioneer for the live auction lots, paper bid sheets on the tables for the silent auction baskets. Bidding online is advance bidding, and it closes Friday, September 11 at 8:00 p.m.
If you can’t make the drive, tell us the most you are willing to pay for a live auction lot and we will do the bidding for you. The silent auction baskets work differently and need nothing from you — when online bidding closes, the winning online bid becomes the first bid on the paper sheet on the table, and guests at the celebration bid up from there.
How it works
- Tell us your maximum. Fill in the form below — once for each live auction lot you want. Your maximum is private. Nobody in the room will know it, and we never open the bidding at your number.
- We bid for you. A board member bids on your behalf, going only as high as the bidding requires and never above your maximum.
- We call you either way. If you win, we will be in touch about payment and getting the item to you. If the bidding goes past your maximum, we will let you know that too.
What you are agreeing to
If we win the item for you at or below your maximum, you are committing to buy it at that price. We will send you a link to pay by card online, or you can mail a check. Cash, checks and cards are all welcomed. Most items can be shipped at your expense on request, or held for you to collect.
Please send your maximums by Friday, September 11. Earlier is better — it gives us time to call you back and confirm.
